Launching: The Social Sex: A History of Female Friendship

The big day for this two+-year project is at hand. The Social Sex: A History of Female Friendship (Harper Perennial) goes on-sale Tuesday, September 22. Yipee!

My co-author Marilyn Yalom and I will be launching our book on Thursday, Sep. 24, 7:30 at Kepler's in Menlo Park. I'd love to see you there. If you can come, click on the link to RSVP to Kepler's. (The event is free.)

It will mean so much to have my friends there helping to celebrate this publication -- a milestone in my writing career!

If you can't make Thursday, we'll soon be reading at other great independent bookstores in the Bay Area -- Book Passage, Books Inc. (Opera Plaza), and Mrs. Dalloway's. And, we'll be at Warwick's in La Jolla, Book Soup in West Hollywood, and 92nd Street Y and Bluestockings in NYC. Check out The Social Sex page on my website for details.

The Social Sex is published as a trade paperback -- so it won't break the bank! (Hint, hint: it makes a great girlfriend gift!) Support your local independent bookstore, if you can. The book is also available on Amazon.

My heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for supporting me.
